For our Bern Site, we are currently looking for a

**EHS Expert**

The role shall support the project delivery department for construction EHS activities, including Safety by-design activities and the EHS Department.

**Main tasks**:

- Ensure all projects are executed in compliance with Swiss Regulations and Company Engineering and EHS Standards
- Responsible for assessing and mitigating risks at CSL Behring Production Site in Bern to minimize lost time due to injuries, illness or business disruptions in relation to Capex Projects.
- Defines Project execution strategies in compliance with the applicable EHS requirements and develops relevant EHS tools and ensure effective implementation on Capex Projects.
- Write and / or reviews Construction Safety Plans, Method Statements, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, and Risk Assessments for project activities.
- Daily EHS tours of ongoing construction activities
- The role provides daily oversight of relevant EHS programs including Construction and Commissioning Safety, Pre-Startup Safety Review, High Risk Activities and Work Permits, Explosion Protection, Contractor Management and EHS training.
- Conducts regular EHS Inspections and Audits and takes care for the follow-up of EHS reports.
- Performs Near Miss and Incident Investigations, Root Cause Analysis according to the “5-Whys approach” and ensures CAPAs and root causes are appropriate and closed in a timely manner.
- Executes Design Risk Assessments, attends Process Safety Assessments, HAZOPs

**Support EHS team and site with**:

- Safety inspection and assessment of operating facilities, processes/work procedures and technical work equipment prior to commissioning
- Inspection/assessment of workplaces and working conditions at regular intervals by inspecting and reporting any deficiencies identified, initiating the necessary measures
- Advice on the procurement of technical work equipment and the introduction of Work processes and working materials Advice on workplace design, work processes, working environment and advice on other ergonomic issues
- Determining the causes of accidents at work by recording and evaluating the results of investigations and drawing up suitable measures
- Supporting the management with the risk assessment
- Supporting management in creating a suitable organization and integrating it into management activities
- Developing new concepts to improve occupational health and safety

Further professional qualifications an advantage, or willingness to undergo further training in the areas of: Reporting, environmental protection, EHS management system, hazardous goods, fire protection, and explosion protection.
