As part of the global growth of our client, a biotech company based in Geneva, we are recruiting a Medical Affairs Lead whose main mission will be to identify outstanding medical needs and define the global medical business strategy in line with the brand's strategic plan.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead a team of 2 global medical affairs managers
- Work on maximizing the value proposition of the Therapeutic Area products globally by providing the global medical plan, actively defining and leading disease awareness, leading the global medical science communication strategy and plan
- Contribute to the development of the Global Brand Strategy and oversee the execution of the medical portion of cross-functional projects (CFP) by providing guidance and/or supervision to other medical and marketing functions
- Ensure that medical knowledge of marketed products is properly conveyed and implemented by regional managers and partners via appropriate training
- Establish, maintain and expand a strong network with an international thought leader to support our programs
- Oversee and ensure proper screening, mapping and engagement of international KOLs.
- Lead data generation programs (primarily IIS studies) and in collaboration with other relevant HQ functions
**Profile**:
- Scientific or medical background (PhD, Pharm. D., or equivalent) with more than 10 years of global medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Minimum 3 years' experience in team management / good leadership
- In-depth knowledge in the field of infectious diseases, respiratory diseases and immunology
- Good understanding of clinical development, regulatory affairs and drug safety, as well as marketing and business practices
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Business travel is expected (approximately 10%)
