For DPS (Drug Product Services) in Basel Switzerland, we have an open position for a Director Commercial Development, Drug Product Services.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Evaluate business opportunities to grow Lonza’s CDMO business in the parenteral Drug Product Services space.
- Develop and commercialize targeted business approaches and operative pricing strategies that facilitate and contribute to the business unit's expansion strategy.
- Establish contractual terms for new contracts and contract extensions, and perform contract negotiations including alignment with other business units.
- Develop creative business cases and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders to maximize growth opportunities.
- Contribute actively to the development of the business unit strategy and manage agreed commercial strategic plans to deliver planned business growth goals.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial landscape through harnessing competitive and market intelligence input with operational capability to identify and target market growth opportunities.
**Key requirements**:
- Qualification (ideally MBA) in addition; or a Business Degree with relevant life science industry experience.
- Extensive commercial Business-to-Business knowledge, preferably in the (Bio-) Pharmaceutical/CDMO industry, with a specific focus on future trends in the market.
- Degree in Biological Sciences or Chemistry or Engineering, preferably with an Business.
- Knowledge in sterile drug product, in particular late phase development and GMP sterile manufacturing is a must.
- Expertise in creating and developing business models and approaches for market expansion opportunities.
- Excellent communication
- and presentation skills.
- Proactive approach, goal orientated, strategic thinker and a strong team player.
- Fluency in English - German is a plus.
