About the Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, manages day-to-day accounting activities in accordance
with the organization's accounting policies and procedures. Responsible for preparing financial and performance reports, assists departments with annual budgets and reviews, internal control and tax studies.
Liaises daily with TMS Line Stations and Subsidiaries with regards to the Accounting activities, coordinates sites annual audits and internal controls.
Job Duties
- Month end closing
- Follow up of the cash in/cash out
- Bank reconciliations
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and preparation of the documentation for the auditors
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Ensure that the entity is compliant with Group standards
- Control the accuracy of data entry
- Preparation of the monthly Reporting to the Group
- Preliminary analysis of the profit and Loss statement, i.e. Actual vs Budget.
- Preparation of the Financial Management Report to be sent to the Group
- Provide support to the CFO during the budget process
- Provide technical expertise and advice on complex accounting issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
- Select, and manage ongoing relationships with, external consultants and advisors (for example accounting firms) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure that accounting activities are completed accurately and on time.
**Requirements**:
- Education in Accounting
- High level of responsibility, independence and self-organisation
- Ability to work towards strict deadlines
- Fluent in French & English
