Director, Corporate Affairs

VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Director, Corporate Affairs & Communications to join our Team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

As a key member of the regional Corporate Affairs and Communications (CA&C) team, the Director of Corporate Affairs & Communications will collaborate to identify, develop and execute regional strategies to shape VF’s corporate reputation in the EMEA region, engaging external stakeholders and managing crisis communications and issues.
This role will also lead regional employee communications by translating global strategies into impactful initiatives that inform, engage, and align VF’s regional workforce with business objectives.
Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Affairs & Communications for EMEA, this position will oversee a junior resource and coordinate with external agencies.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
Corporate Communications Strategy
Collaborate with the VP of Corporate Affairs & Communications EMEA to identify and develop corporate communication objectives and strategies aligned with regional business needs and global corporate goals.
Employee Communications Leadership
Drive and implement regional employee communications initiatives to enhance employee engagement, translating global strategies.
Partner with the Global Director of HR and Associate Communication as well as the regional HR team to develop compelling storytelling and content that meet internal communication and engagement needs.
Establish efficient communication channels for reaching the EMEA workforce effectively.
Lead regional editorial strategy, content creation, and execution serving as a key driver of enterprise storytelling within the region, ensuring creative and compelling narratives across platforms.
Oversee channel strategies and develop various communication materials to support plans and campaigns.
Stakeholder Communications
Lead specific stakeholders’ engagement programs in the region, in alignment with global strategies and collaborating with other functions (government Affairs, Sustainability, etc.).
Measurement and Insights
Track, analyse, and report on the effectiveness of internal and external communications activities.
Provide regular updates to the VP and leadership team, adapting strategies for maximum impact.
Global and Regional Alignment
Work closely with the global CA&C team to execute globally relevant projects while ensuring regional alignment and synergy.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders across EMEA to raise awareness and align regional initiatives, delivering necessary communication tools within approved budgets.
Partner with functions and other business leaders from across VF and its brands in the region to support their communication needs.
Skills for Success
Preferably degree in Economics or Corporate Communications/PR, Social Science, or related fields. Advanced qualifications (e.g., Master’s in Corporate Communications) are an asset.
Extensive years of corporate and brand communications experience (internal and external, including change management), within a corporation, brand environment, or international PR agency. Experience in the fashion or lifestyle industry is preferred.
Native or fluent English (written and spoken). Proficiency in additional languages (Italian, German, or French) is preferred.
