Internship - Biologics Upstream Process Development

In order to advance this diverse pipeline of biopharmaceutical products we are looking for a student intern in the field of cell culture process development to support the development of an innovative harvest scale down model.
- Your responsibilities:
- Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the development of efficient, high-yielding, robust and scalable harvest processes for new biological entities
- Design, plan, perform, and evaluate parallelized cell culture experiments at lab scale (small to bench-top) to support harvest scale down model development
- Write protocols, basic scientific reports, lab procedures or SOP's
- Work in multidisciplinary, international teams, and actively contribute to project teams as USP expert. Interface with related drug substance process development and analytical functions.

**Minimum requirements**
- What you’ll bring to the role:
- Student currently enrolled in a Masters degree or recent graduate in a Life Science discipline (e.g. Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Bioengineering etc.) with basic knowledge in upstream processing or equivalent education/experience. Graduation no longer than one year ago.
- Basic laboratory experience with mammalian cell cultures, primarily aseptic handling, ideally with shake flasks, wave and stirred bioreactors.
- Intrinsic curiosity, willingness to adopt challenging tasks and grow in related areas of expertise (e.g. parallelized, automated cultivation)
- Experienced in independently planning, executing, and evaluating own laboratory experiments and presenting the data
- Proficiency in English, oral & written. Proficiency in German or French would be an additional asset.
