**Presentation**:
A PhD position in ancient population genomics is available in the research group of Anna-Sapfo Malaspinas in the Department of Computational Biology at the University of Lausanne.

The group generally aims at characterizing evolutionary processes while relying on genomics data from both modern and ancient samples

**Job information**:
**Start date**: 01.10.2024
**Length of contract**: 1-year, renewable two times for 2 years, 5 years maximum.
**Activity rate **:85%.
**Workplace **:University of Lausanne, Department of Computational Biology, Génopode Building, CH-1015 Lausanne-Dorigny.

**Your responsibilities**:
**Your qualifications**:
Master in population genetics, computational biology, or related fields.
Experience handling large scale genomic datasets is a plus.
Some programming experience (e.g., python, R or C/C++,) andgood knowledge of probability and statistics plus experience of UNIX environment would be beneficial.
