**Title**: Household Manager & Family Assistant

**Location**: Lausanne, Switzerland (1071 Chexbres)

**Employment Type**: Part-time. Approximately 20 hours/week.

**Proposed Start Date**: ASAP

**Compensation**: 50 CHF / Hour

**Proposed Schedule**: 2-3 days on-site per week, with flexibility for remote administrative support throughout the week. Hours can flex seasonally based on projects, travel, and property needs.

**Requirements**:

- Maintain a smoke-free environment (preferred)
- Pass background check
- Able to sign Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
- Reliable transportation
- Speaks fluent English and French; German proficiency strongly preferred
- CPR certification a plus

**Description**:
We are a warm, international family based near Lausanne, balancing the rhythms of work, family, and a rural lifestyle. We have a 2.5-year-old daughter attending school part-time and a newborn baby. Both parents work from home, and we live across two neighboring homes.

Our family is focused on creating an intentional, calm home life centered on healthy home-cooked meals, time outdoors, and meaningful daily rhythms. We value professionalism, discretion, and clear communication — someone who can support us in staying organized, connected, and settled as we manage two households and multiple generations under one extended roof.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Household Organization & Maintenance**:

- Create and maintain household systems for organization (closets, pantry, storage, toys).
- Reset rooms daily and maintain neatness between professional cleanings.
- Support ongoing home setup and renovation logistics across two neighboring homes.
- Oversee household schedules, checklists, and communication logs.
- Conduct seasonal swaps for family clothing, décor, bedding, etc.
- Prepare for guest visits, holidays, and family travel.
- Support garden produce processing and other seasonal home rhythms.
- Manage trash and recycling pickups

- **Inventory Management & Errands**:

- Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies.
- Manage and coordinate household orders.
- Run errands: groceries, post office, dry cleaning, pharmacy, deliveries, and gift shopping.
- Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries.
- Maintain receipts, budgets, and expense logs, etc.

- **Meal Planning & Preparation**:

- Assist with planning and preparing balanced, family-style meals, as needed.
- Help with advance prep: chopping vegetables, baking, batch cooking proteins.
- Support dairy-free and gluten-aware cooking.
- Keep the kitchen organized, clean, and ready for daily use.
- Coordinate grocery shopping lists and manage meal-related supplies.

- **Laundry & Linen Care**:

- Coordinate with and oversee local laundry service.
- Put away clean laundry and manage organization by size and season.
- Prepare linens for guests and holiday use.
- Maintain tidy laundry areas and ensure supplies are stocked.

- **Pet Care**:

- Care for two cats and assist with puppy care when a dog joins the household.
- Manage vet, grooming, and vaccination appointments.
- Keep pet food and supplies stocked.
- Support flea/tick medication tracking and schedules.

- **Vehicle Management**:

- Schedule and track car maintenance, registration, and inspections.
- Oversee winter tire changes and completion of importation process for family cars.
- Keep vehicles fueled, charged, and organized for family use.

- **Vendor & Property Oversight**:

- Serve as main liaison with general contractor, cleaners, landscapers, and maintenance vendors.
- Coordinate repairs and project follow-up for both properties.
- Manage garden, orchard, and small-scale farm tasks (e.g., seasonal planting, harvest coordination, apple cider production, etc.).
- Support outdoor space upkeep and special projects as needed.

- **Family Support & Child Assistance**:

- Assist with light supervision, playtime, and rhythm-based activities for children.
- Help organize safe, engaging experiences at home and locally (music, swimming, nature classes, etc.).
- Support school logistics and prep clothing and bags for school days.

- **Deep Cleaning & Special Projects**:

- Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, art studio, mudroom, gym).
- Clean humidifiers, air purifiers, and small appliances monthly.
- Support home organization projects (toy systems, décor rotation, storage optimization).
- Assist with renovation oversight and special household initiatives.

- **Administrative & Personal Assistant Support**:

- Manage household and family calendars (appointments, travel, vendor visits).
- Coordinate appointments for OT/PT or early learning specialists as needed.
- Research and coordinate with providers/vendors in the area (medical, wellness, personal trainer, private chef).
- Assist with international travel planning (flights, logistics, transportation, etc.).
- Support family events, birthdays, and travel to annual holiday homes.
