If you’re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there’s only one choice.** **Head of Operational excellence Strategy and Engineering M/F/d** **YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Oversee the Consumer Health Engineering, Strategy and Operational Excellence function ensuring the implementation of best practices, gross margin programs, proactive network strategy and site support. **Responsibilities**: - Lead the Engineering and Strategy&Excellence teams within the Consumer Health division ensuring engineering and operational excellence site support where required. - Ensure identification, planning, design, and execution of major strategic Bayer Consumer Health capital projects. - Identify / Implement and continuously develop efficient best practices and standards in Communities of Practice - Ensure that Bayer Consumer Health achieve their strategic targets and reach the best-in-class position across defined metrics - calibrated and verified vs external data and in line with EBITDA glide path. - Responsible and accountable for the Gross Margin program (Lift) - and overseeing Strategic Network Choice and Cost reduction and efficiency programs. - Proactively manage the Bayer CH Network strategy - ensuring Effective service, Business Continuity, Acquisitions, (De)mergers and Competitive cost per unit (CPU) - Ensures high performance culture through management, coaching and development of direct and indirect reports; setting and communicating department objectives and clear standards of performance; goal settings, individual performance evaluations. - Plans and drives engineering and OE staff development, to build the pipeline of ready talent for the future. Completes regular development dialogues career discussions and performance management and talent reviews. - Inspires a solid cross-functional and proactive Safety and Quality mindset. - Actively supports workforce diversity & inclusion. - Oversee the development and implementation of maintenance concepts, systems, and best practices in collaboration with Bayer Engineering & Technology group - Lead all strategic programs to ensure flawless execution and achievement of PS and strategies. - Maintain product sourcing policy consistent with the legal requirements in compliance with Bayer policies - Lead Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) ensuring active Business Continuity Plans are in place for all functions, facilities, and factories. **WHO YOU ARE** - Master’s or PhD degree in engineering / technical and/or science. - 15 years of progressive experience in highly regulated (GMP like) industry (fast-moving consumer goods preferred) - 5 years’ experience in global functions - 3-5 years international experience - 5 years of people leadership experience - Manufacturing / Project / Quality / Strategic and Engineering experience - Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Capital investment projects >$5m across international geographies. - Excellent social and communication skills - including the ability to influence, persuade, and collaboratively build relationships with all levels of management. - Demonstrated entrepreneurial behaviors, attitudes, and strategic thinking. - Ability to lead cross-functional/divisional international teams - Fluent in English (2nd language preferred) LI-CH **YOUR APPLICATION** **Location**: Switzerland : Basel-City : Basel **Division**: Consumer Health **Reference Code**: 797041
