Key responsibilities: - Lead equipment cleaning concepts and processes, validation of facility cleaning, "general" bioburden control strategy, standardization of cleaning approach within assigned facilities, quality issues related to facility cleaning - Take a coordination role between manufacturing, QA and MSAT regarding cleaning aspects within the Lonza Microbial Manufacturing organization - Develop concepts for plant cleaning that are in line with regulatory requirements together with QA or other partners, this includes the development of SOPs and plans for plant cleaning - Drive the standardization of cleaning concepts and processes in defined plants and facilities and represent Microbial MSAT for all topics related to cleaning during audits with customers and authorities - Coordinate troubleshooting and investigation activities during campaigns and support the handling of equipment cleaning deviations Key requirements: - Master's degree with several years’ experience or a PhD in biotechnology, chemical engineering or related discipline - High level of expertise in equipment cleaning and cleaning validation in the area of biopharma cleaning and preferably in biologics - Proven GMP experience and good understanding of the biologics manufacturing process and associated cleaning regulatory requirements - Good project management skill, as well as proven ability to lead cross-functional teams of experts - Excellent communication skills in English and/or German Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
