We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Marketing Manager to join the global marketing team for ABB Process Industries. As a Strategic Marketing Manager, you will play a vital role in driving our division's growth and success by developing and executing effective marketing strategies across key industries, including mining, metals, pulp & paper, and digital. This position requires a strong background in business intelligence, go-to-market strategies, and marketing tactics to ensure optimal market coverage and competitive advantage.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Gather and analyze market data, industry trends, and customer intelligence to identify market opportunities and potential risks. Conduct thorough research and evaluation of customer needs, preferences, and behaviors to inform strategic decision-making, segmentation and marketing initiatives, including post-mortem analysis of lost opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track market share, customer satisfaction, market sizing and overall business performance; and then translating this into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Conduct regular assessments of competitors' strategies, product offerings, and pricing to identify areas of opportunity and competitive differentiation. Develop strategies to counter competitive threats and strengthen the company's market position.
- Provide insights and recommendations on competitive positioning and pricing adjustments. In collaboration with product management, develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for specific segments and offerings to drive growth across our seven Business Lines, in collaboration with internal stakeholders: ensuring alignment with business objectives and target markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of go-to-market plans. Identify distribution channels, pricing strategies, and define compelling value propositions to ensure ABB’s offerings are clearly differentiated and ABB has the competitive edge to win more customers.
- Evaluate and pursue opportunities for global market expansion, conducting market research and developing tailored marketing strategies for target countries and regions. Create and implement strategic marketing plans tailored to specific industries, including mining, metals, pulp & paper, and digital, to effectively reach target audiences.
- Leverage market insights and customer segmentation to develop compelling value propositions, messaging, and positioning strategies. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, product development, and business line management teams, to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in strategic marketing, business intelligence, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, go-to-market strategies, and market analysis techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of the mining, metals, pulp & paper, and digital industries, including key players, trends, and challenges.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights and strategies.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving targets.
