**Your mission**
As the Global QEHS manager you would be responsible to support each site in our continuous drive for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety initiative programs at all facilities. You would represent SMS Logistics in various group initiatives, where you would also support the development of the SMS programs for all SMS divisions.
**Main responsibilities**
- Ensure each site have procedures implemented for their operational processes. These can be local or the implementation of global standards. All records are stored for global consumption in Sharepoint Quality Systems;
- Develop internal audit capabilities which will check the correctness of processes. Ensuring good knowledge of our processes across each operation;
- Manage the external quality audits against our ISO 9001, 14000 and 45000 standards. Agreeing the audit timetable and focus areas. Follow up on the closure of any identified Non Conformities;
- Implementation of our Safety and Health and Well-being programs. To ensure not only we have safe processes but that we make SMS Logistics a great place to work;
- Identify Environmental Improvement programs (EIP). Ensuring any approved EIP is implemented and follow up consequences are reported. Representing SMS Logistics in the Sandvik group initiative of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi);
- Represent SMS Logistics in the SMS Environmental working group and the Health and Well-being working group. Where divisional programs and targets are discussed and agreed. Sharing of the outcome of these workgroups to SMS Logistic management would form an important part of this responsibility;
- Agree and then drive the implementation of our Sustainability program with the mission to support the corporate Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
**Your profile**
You are an energetic, self-starter not requiring significant supervision. You should be able to take high level requests and turn these into programs / initiatives as required. You will be someone who can work with a diverse team across cultures. But at the same time having the confidence to make the necessary decisions. Knowing when to escalate issues to management. You should be confident to ask questions and represent your area of responsibility to management. You should be interested in your long term capabilities to search out education will support your development.
