Group Controller (Finance Director)

For our globally renowned client within the Engineering / Manufacturing industry we are currently looking for an experienced, passionate and hands-on Group Controller, who is willing to take the next career step and become the new Finance Director for the location in Switzerland

**Your Tasks**:

- Be the main responsible for Accounting, Reporting and Group Consolidation across the Group consisting of six business units (Switzerland, USA, India etc.)
- Directly oversee and manage Swiss finance team and indirectly oversee and support local finance teams across the Group
- Responsible for Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting for the Group and forecasting and budget processes
- Ensure proper reconciliations of General Ledger accounts and implement, document and monitor internal controls in accordance with the Group policy
- Partner with finance teams across the Group to continuously improve finance processes and common ways of working
- Lead the Project Financial Management function:

- Lead Project reviews and provide overall project cost control, progress measurement and relevant financial analyses
- Manage the monthly closing process for the project and ensure that project reporting and project revenue recognition is in line with Accounting rules
- Ensure that project calculations reflect the current status of the project and lead the re-assessment of the project cost assumptions
- Prepare and run financial presentations to divisional management
- Report directly to the CEO and provide regular financial analysis and support in various improvement initiatives and implementations (business partnering with CEO regarding financial, project
- and change management topics on Group Level)
- Challenge Project Execution Teams on a global scale regarding various project parameters
- Lead a broad range of ad-hoc projects focused on improving reporting and financial processes

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- 7+ years of relevant working experience from working with Business Controlling, on Group level or in Operations ideally within (Plant) Engineering, Production and Export industry
- Experience in cost & project control on large, complex engineering projects
- Experience of SERV insurance (Schweizerische Exportrisikoversicherung) and guarantees is of merit
- Experience of international letters of credit is of merit
- Background in Trade & Export Finance would be an asset
- Know-how in Swiss Banking Systems
- Proactive, solution and process-oriented expert, capable of continuously developing and improving processes (e.g. implementing Group rules into the organization and controlling the subsidiaries to execute them correctly)
- Strong ability to communicate Accounting and Financial information into common language
- Fluent in German & English (any other language would be an asset)
