**Job Overview**:
T he Senior Manager Cost Engineering is responsible for leading the IM Cost Engineering /DTV centre of excellenc e setting and driving aligned business priorities and strategic initiatives in support of our IM Supply Chain, IM SC Procurement and R&D partners

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operational lead, setting and driving aligned business priorities for function in support of Innovative Medicine Supply Chain and R&D in support of value delivery objectives
- Lead in the development and governance of Innovative Medicine Cost Engineering cost structures across all IM SC categories.
- Project lead for critical cost engineering initiatives and support deliverables for IM business transformation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of strategic plans to address cost opportunities identified through the cost modeling and supplier cost transparency analytical process, leveraging strategic cost management principles.
- Work with Category teams to plan and develop strategic competitive market engagement strategies.
- Construct should cost modelling benchmarks / design for value for commodities and products across Innovative Medicine business portfolios.
- Analyze product specifications to prepare accurate global cost benchmarks utilizing available cost data and technical resources.
- Lead responsibility / oversight for Cost Engineering digital technologies (Siemens PCM, Central supplier cost transparency database, future integration opportunities with IM PRISMA 360 / data asset )
- C ost E ngineering training lead / setting training priorities with Global category leads
- Responsible for onboarding, mentoring and leading the CE resources

**Qualifications / Requirements**:
**Education / Certification**:

- Master of Engineering / Bachelor’s in Engineering or Biological Sciences degree is required
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
- CPSM certification preferred

**Experience / Qualifications**:

- Minimum 15 years work experience in a manufacturing environment with detailed process knowledge across multiple manufacuturing technologies.
- Minimum 5 years of practical should cost modeling experience in a manufacturing company.
- An understanding of activity-based cost accounting principles to provide product cost modeling & analytics for procured materials and products, is preferred.
- Requires a broad knowledge of biotechnology, pharma, chemical and / or packaging manufacturing processes.
- Negotiation skills, with the ability to create fact-based rationales.

- Proven interpersonal, relational, and communication skills to influence and align with key value chain stakeholders & partners
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a complex, highly matrix, virtual, organization where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist is required
