At a Glance:
As Product Evaluation Intern you will manage and execute testing/studies on prototypes and new products prior to commercialisation in close cooperation with other members of the sports science team and R&D department. You will carry out a wide range of testing and validating and maximising the impact of R&D products through both advising and testing. You will be integrated into the multi-disciplinary innovation team and have the opportunity to work with PMs, developers, engineers, and designers.

On’s Innovation team is responsible for On’s future innovation, out-of-the-box thinking and the outstanding athlete-informed technology that differentiates On footwear from all other footwear product in the market. By joining the On Innovation Team, you will have the opportunity to be part of an agile and interdisciplinary team of experts in the areas of engineering and sports science.

Your Mission:

- Ensure participant recruitment aligns with product objectives and target consumers and own initiatives that increase the number of runners in our database available for product testing opportunities.
- Plan and execute studies to evaluate and validate new products throughout the product creation process, from foam compound development to first prototype through to commercialisation.
- Use appropriate equipment and sensors in a sports science lab environment.
- Perform statistical analyses when necessary to support findings
- Translate product testing results into persuasive and easy understanding conclusions to a cross-functional team with a variety of backgrounds.
- Work on both applied and basic biomechanics, physiological, and material science research projects.
- Stay connected to relevant current and upcoming research, technologies, methods, and industry trends.

Your Story:

- Bachelor or Master in Sports science, biomechanics, or relevant field
- Knowledge of the biomechanics of running
- Knowledge of the anatomy of the lower limb
- Basic understanding of athletic shoe-making, construction, and technical requirements is a plus
- Excellent soft skills. especially the ability to make people feel welcomed and appreciated with the ability to handle all kinds of characters
- Fluent English, written and verbal
