**Overall purpose of role**

**Key Accountabilities**
- Manage the PBWM CIO meetings, organizational structure, strategic discussions, documentation of the strategy and leading the execution of the strategy by uniting people across the organization
- Organize meetings with stakeholders and leads across functions, manage communication via presentations and other means to secure close alignment on the PBWM technology strategy and decision-making
- Strong understanding and awareness of the external market landscape, informing PBWM CIO about potential risks and identifying opportunities
- Use existing expertise in Private Banking & Wealth Products & solutions to shape strategic technology solutions, guide PBWM Technology projects and allow successful integrations of supporting technologies which will achieve sustainable long-term benefits for PBWM business stakeholders
- Gathering departmental reports and compiling for stakeholder reporting
- and long-term for the PBWM Technology organization, while navigating complex challenges.

**Stakeholder Management and Leadership**

Collaborate closely with PBWM COO, business & operational teams in order to align the PBWM Technology objectives & strategy. Work with Chief of Staff from other Barclays Group technology teams to secure their support as functions to PBWM technology. Work in tandem with the PBWM Technology Management team on the execution of the strategy and the communication to a broad audience to gain support and keep the team moving forward.

**Decision-making and Problem Solving**

Drive decision-making for the creation and management of a PBWM technology strategy which is closely aligned with the company’s vision and objectives, leading to a clear and cohesive PBWM technology roadmap that will contribute to the organization’s growth and success. Actively remove roadblocks and keep delivery partners on track.

**Risk and Control Objective**

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

**Person Specification**

Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Be an effective communicator, clearly shaping and presenting challenges and opportunities to allow decision-making. Improving the company’s ongoing processes and organising the team to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity. Support in addressing ongoing problems building good relationships with employees.

**Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in developing and defining Private Banking strategies, leading product design & development in a large organization
- Ability to engage and work efficiently with a multitude of demanding stakeholders across functions
- Able to coach, mentor and develop a team to high performance through strong leadership and communication skills
- Track record to lead and drive strategic technology initiatives with successful outcomes and prior experience in an agile/scrum-based environment

**Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications**:

- Master-level education
- Proven record in working in a hybrid working environment with teams across locations & timezones
- Well established network within the industry including a good understanding of emerging technologies and trends
- Experience in digital transformation and software development environment using a strong analytical and problem-solving capability as well as partnering skills
- Optional experience in data analytics technology environment is an advantage
