As the ESG Reporting and performance manager you will lead the Group’s external and internal sustainability reporting and performance monitoring during an exciting transition journey. The job will include the build-up of new reporting processes and tools, adapting the ESG indicator landscape to new reporting standards. It also means building reporting processes and controls providing “financial grade” data and base for external verification.

You will be responsible for regular ESG performance summaries for internal and external reporting and interact with a wide group of people in across the organization including senior management and leading governance bodies.

You will play a fundamental role in the development of the Group’s ESG related reports and ratings to ensure that our reporting reinforces our sustainability strategy and aligns with best practices and applicable standards. As ESG Reporting and Performance Manager you will report to the ESG Director of VARO Energy.

**Your profile - Essential knowledge, skills & abilities**:

- Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability reporting and sustainability reporting standards and/or financial reporting with commitment to quick learning and development the sustainability reporting profession
- Extensive experience from defining reporting processes and tools
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal, written communication skills; proven ability to simplify complex topics for executive decision makers, investors and senior-level audiences
- Experience from performance management, analysis and presentation
- Demonstrated experience successfully building and managing stakeholder relationships
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with excellent time management

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience in the field of reporting, measurement, or assurance and/or 5+ years of experience in ESG disclosures, sustainability program support, sustainability reporting, or related experience
- Good knowledge of and expertise in key sustainability frameworks and disclosures (GRI, TCFD, EcoVadis,) and legislative frameworks (CSRD, EU Taxonomy)
- Curious, fast learner with a strong passion for sustainability reporting and environmental and societal issues
- Ability to delivering high quality work whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver commitments on time and budget
- Exceptional organizational capabilities, including planning, communication, partnering with other functional teams, program development and task management
- Outstanding team player with a capacity to both listen to and challenge existing views while shaping direction
- IT literacy with knowledge and experience of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent English language skills (spoken and written), German or French would be a plus
- Demonstrated strong writing skills

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Sustainability, Investor Relations, Economics, Finance); Master’s Degree is a plus
- Relevant professional training (with particular focus on sustainability reporting, reporting standards and regulation and/or financial risk and control frameworks
