Kistler’s Innovation Lab follows the general vision “Turning data into value”. This means, that we build on vast amounts of data created with Kistler’s sensor technology and create value by using digital methods rooted in data science, mathematics and signal processing. Digital initiatives are pursued in a protected framework at a higher speed than possible in the general corporate context. To accomplish this, the Innovation Lab is partly decoupled from the corporate processes and leverages an entrepreneurial culture and methodology. It is an instrument to foster co-creation and collaboration within Kistler and with our customers. It provides training in digital, future relevant topics.
The data scientist Innovation Lab is an integral part of the Innovation Lab project team and will systematically analyze the treasure of data.
**Data Scientist (w/m/d) 80 - 100 %**
**Your tasks**
- Works on Innovation Lab projects as a competent expert in data science
- Provides solutions in code. Programs in Python. Delivers excellent quality with state-of-the-art methods.
- Data engineering and basic full stack development
- Applies deep knowledge of math, statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI) and manages to always pick the best method out of the personal toolbox
- Open to perform a quick-hack test and delivers results for decisions quickly
- Contributes to optimizing the solution for the customer / the BU with deep data science knowledge in a goal oriented way
- Thinks strategically and shapes the solution to support the general TEC / BU strategy
- Lead a data science project both with respect to scientific topics and with respect to agile project management
**Your profile**
- University degree (e.g. BSc, MSc, PhD) in engineering (mechanical, electrical or related) or physics with a focus/specialization in data science
- Relevant work experience in an industrial environment
- Deep knowledge in Python. Some experience in SQL, R. Knows the most important frameworks for data science tasks, such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, OpenCV, MVTec Halcon
- Experience in cloud technologies, software engineering
- Knowledge in advanced signal processing
- Knowledge in agile project management techniques
- Analytic thinking and scientific mindset
- Flexible, curious and social person with a teamwork and problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in speech and writing
- Fluent in English (B2 or higher); German is a plus
