Individualized Learning Provision

The school is seeking a qualified, experienced and committed teacher to be based at our Lower School campus in Waedenswil. Individualized Learning Provision at ZIS provides support to learners with intensive needs across our Lower, Middle and Upper Schools, with ILP teachers operating as a team.

The Position

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the area of Special Educational Needs, working with children with a range of learning needs and disabilities across grades EC- G5. Experience of working with children with more significant learning needs and with emotional/ behavioral challenges would be an advantage.

Ideal Requirements
- A Master’s Degree (or equivalent certification) in Special Education and a valid special education teaching credential
- A commitment to providing high quality education for children with significant challenges
- At least three years experience working in mainstream or special schools with students who have additional significant learning needs
- Experience with common educational assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans
- Experience delivering a variety of literacy and numeracy interventions
- Confidence with assistive technologies and using 1:1 devices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals in order to support student inclusion
- German language skills would be a great advantage
