Documentation Terminologist

For our international medical partner,** Roche Diagnostics International AG **based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified and motivated **Documentation Terminologist** for a 1 year contract with possibility for an extension.

GCS Knowledge & Learning Solutions is responsible for the creation of user and service documentation, digital learning material, and internal knowledge management. The GCS Terminology Team maintains a multilingual database containing the approved Roche terminology. This is the foundation for documentation and learning deliverables as well as for user interfaces. The GCS Terminology Team is point of contact for taxonomy-related questions, search queries, and machine translation. You will work in an innovative and motivated team with a great team spirit constantly striving for the best.

As Terminologist, you will work in an international environment, managing various stakeholders, and collaborating with internal and external partners. You will have a diversified and demanding position.

**Tasks**:

- Terminology management in the areas molecular diagnostics, sequencing, and tissue diagnostics (pathology lab)
- Maintenance and update of our terminology management system
- Terminology review of user interfaces and user documentation
- Supporting standardization initiatives
- Consulting project teams in terminology-, taxonomy-, and language-related questions

**Must Haves**:

- University degree or certificate from an adequate institute in translation studies, linguistics, computational linguistics, or technical communication (master’s degree preferred)
- Good knowledge of CAT-tools, taxonomies, and controlled vocabulary
- At least 1/2 years work experience in terminology management and/or translation/localization
- Good knowledge of English, additional languages beneficial
- Knowledge of Chinese and/or Japense is an advantage
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Cultural awareness
