**Your role and responsibilities**:
We are seeking an experienced Lead PLM Solution Architect to lead the overall architecture and strategic direction of Windchill PLM within the ABB Electrification (EL) Engineering Applications domain. You will provide high-level expertise by partnering with business and engineering teams to analyze requirements, propose innovative technical designs, and drive the implementation, enhancement, bug fixes, and necessary changes to the PLM platform, ensuring that all modifications meet quality and regulatory compliance standards. Additionally, you will lead a team of technical architects, functional architects overseeing the design, build, integrity, and quality of the PLM solution and associated services. By aligning the Windchill PLM architecture with enterprise and data model standards, you will drive the standardization and harmonization of solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IS services to the Electrification Divisions with a strong focus on business value-driven innovation. This position will report to IS Head of Engineering Applications, Electrification Business. The Architect will drive the following activities. - Oversee the global implementation of ABB’s Windchill PLM (GPLM), including CAD management, BOM management, document management, SAP integrations with Windchill ESI, and digital transformation initiatives (e.g., Thingworx Navigate, MBSE, Digital Thread). - Build short
- and long-term roadmaps for a sustainable, robust PLM system to support initiatives such as Digital Thread and MBSE transformation. - Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate PLM strategies into broader digital transformation initiatives. Validate and prioritize incoming business demands to ensure timely delivery that meets regulatory, reliability, and auditability requirements. - Take full ownership of the enterprise PLM solution (both functional and technical). - Conduct technical meetings and workshops to gather, define, and analyze core business requirements. - Review existing PLM architecture and identify/propose solutions that meet design objectives and business needs. - Facilitate developing training documentation and knowledge transfer to end-user groups. Lead a team of internal and external technical and functional architects to ensure the design, build, integrity, and quality of the PLM solution and associated services. Collaborate with key engineering stakeholders to shape ABB Electrification divisions - digital transformation vision. - Implement and maintain robust data governance policies to ensure data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in PLM domain, with 5+ years of experience as a Windchill Architect with full-scope implementations of PLM systems, CAD data management, product data management, and integrating Windchill to other systems. Strong proficiency in PLM data modeling, workflow design, and process configuration.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Certifications related to PTC Windchill (Technical Essentials, Advanced and Professional) are preferred
- Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation initiatives and change management within large organizations
