Respiratory & Immunology is one of AstraZeneca’s three therapy areas and is a key growth driver for the Company. Building on our 50-year heritage, we are an established leader in respiratory care across inhaled and biologic medicines. AstraZeneca aims to transform the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)by eliminating preventable asthma attacks across all severities and removing COPD as a leading cause of death through earlier, biology-led treatment. With common pathways and underlying disease drivers across respiratory and immunology, we are following the science from chronic lung diseases to immune-driven diseases. Our growing presence in immunology is focused on five mid-to late-stage franchises with multi-disease potential in rheumatology (including systemic lupus erythematosus), dermatology, gastroenterology and systemic eosinophilic-driven diseases. Our ambition in immunology is to achieve disease control and ultimately clinical remission in targeted immune-driven diseases. At AstraZeneca, we aim to be the leader in respiratory biologics and are currently working to develop treatment solutions which will address the different drivers of asthma including eosinophilic and epithelial-driven disease. In COPD we are committed to transforming outcomes by driving earlier, biology-led treatment and removing COPD as the third leading cause of death.

**What you’ll do**

**Other responsibilities include**:

- You will visit general practitioners in the practice with a high level of professional and social competence.
- You provide information about the use and therapeutic possibilities of the AstraZeneca product range.
- You actively represent our company at congresses.
- You will work with the sales manager to develop a local strategy and business plan.
- You will drive sales performance and ensure that sales forecasts and allocated budgets meet and/or exceed therapeutic expectations in the sales territory.
- Expand existing and develop new relationships with key customers by continuously offering solutions that meet their needs and objectives
- You utilise marketing and medical assets and campaigns for your customer engagement plans in digital and F2F communication
**Essential for the role**
- You have a scientific or paramedical education, preferably a SHQA certificate, some years of experience in pharmaceutical sales (preferably in the therapy area of respiratory & immunology in the region of Berne),
- Demonstrated Patient Centricity in keeping the patient at the forefront of every interaction
- Experience with different commercial and digital channels
- Gaining access via multiple selling channels
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Open mindset and using new approaches to support business growth (e.g. virtual interactions, usage of all digital channels)
- Ready to move outside of the comfort zone by proactively seeking coaching and feedback from others
- Good knowledge in market ethical rules
- Fluency in English and German
- You see omnichannel as a chance, not a buzzword.
