Brainforest is globally the first venture studio that focuses on forests as a superior natural climate solution. By harnessing state-of-the-art technology and the potential of forests, we deliver entrepreneurial solutions to the climate and biodiversity crisis in the form of independent impact ventures. Through our seed funding and diverse team of visionary entrepreneurs, engineers and forestry experts, we are creating an ecosystem of solutions that significantly contributes to more forests, biodiversity, and a better climate.

We are looking for a recent Master Graduate to join our team for the next 9-12 months fulltime. During this program, you will join our different teams to maximize your learning opportunities: Brainforest Core, the Regenerative Food Forest Lab and our Biodiversity Lab. We operate in a hybrid mode out of our home offices and in our office in Seefeld, Zürich.

Tasks

Regenerative Food Forest Lab & Biodiversity Lab
- Assist the Venture Building team and the Entrepreneurs in Residence to develop impact business models for the new ventures - with the opportunity to grow into a venture-builder role or join a venture yourself
- Research to create understanding and knowhow as a basis for our venture building activities
- Exchange with partners and other associations to identify new opportunities
- Support our Venture Program (similar to an accelerator) by helping entrepreneurs on their journey from 0-1
- Work closely with our Venture Builders to ideate new solutions, prototype them, validate them and develop them further to full solutions

Brainforest Core
- Be the executive assistent for the Brainforest CEO and the Chief Venture Officer
- Support the Brainforest management in various activities like fundraising, meeting preparation, ad-hoc task
- Improve our processes (finances, operations, hr etc.)

**Requirements**:

- Recently completed a master’s degree from a top university, ideally in business administration, finance, strategy and international management, marketing, entrepreneurship or equivalent
- First experience in the startup or VC world highly beneficial
- Analytical mindset to identify new opportunities in a structured and logical way
- You comfortably and quickly bring ideas, research, conclusions and condensed understanding of a topic into written and verbal form to convey your findings and the inputs from others
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, in English; German is a plus.
- Drive for positive environmental and social impact
- Good understanding of any of the following areas is a plus: Natural Climate Solutions, (UX-) Design, Marketing, DLT/Web 3.0, Re/Afforestation, Carbon Projects or Markets, Biodiversity, Material Substitution (e.g. timber in the construction industry) or Agroforestry
