We are currently seeking a **Business Controller** to join our global organization to be based out of Switzerland. The Mammalian Business Unit is a highly dynamic with plans to deliver impressive growth over the coming years. It currently spans 7 sites and have revenues > 2bn CHF. The Business Controller is responsible for supporting the business with all aspects of financial planning, compliance, reporting and analysis with responsibility for P&L and Balance Sheet positions. **Key responsibilities**: - Management of long - and short-term planning processes such as Strategy Review, annual budget, monthly outlooks etc... - Management of BU Risk & Opportunity profile - Support key Business Unit stakeholders in financial analysis & decision making in pricing, contract negotiations, supply contracts, modeling, project evaluations, costing, performance measures, strategic planning, business goal development. - Profitability analysis by site / asset / customer / contract - Tracking sales delivery in line with plan. Ensuring clarity of price, volume, timelines, BTO, profitability etc - Analyses business performance, recommends benchmarks, and highlight the key areas of interest for improvement or monitoring. - Capital expenditure evaluations and submissions. Supports Business Case development of Capital Investments. Including due diligences and business integration of new acquisitions and tracking of key projects vs approved business case. - Review and standardize business processes and structure across the BU ensuring transparency, consistency and best practice sharing in all aspects of costing, planning, reporting etc - Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies to ensure optimal resource levels across the BU - ensuring demand and capacity is aligned and resource levels are optimised to support BU profit objectives. - Supports Head of Finance, Site Controllers and BSO in ensuring financial compliance of BU in accordance with IFRS, the Lonza Finance Accounting Manual (FAM), the Lonza Management Accounting Manual (MAM) and other required accounting principles **Key requirements**: - People and functional leadership. - skilled at cost analysis, budgeting, and financial planning and reporting in a manufacturing organization. - Strong communication skills and evidence of partnering with multi-function stakeholders - Demonstrate track record in reporting accuracy with compliance mindset and professional integrity. - Ability to interpret and explain financial information and projections. - Good interpersonal and influencing skills - Results driven attitude within a highly performance orientated environment Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
