Third Party Human Rights Manager

**_ RESPONSIBILITIES _**
**Human Rights**:
- Strengthen Takeda's third-party human rights due diligence process.
- Ensure Takeda's third-party human rights and labor rights due diligence process meets international standards and regulatory requirements
- In collaboration with business stakeholders, implement mitigation measures and actions that address potential third-party human rights and labor rights risks
- Review third-party human rights and labor rights risks and providing clear recommendations and guidance to stakeholders
- Monitor and inform senior leaders of legal developments relative to business and human rights in operating countries
- Collaborate with local operating companies to ensure compliance with human rights due diligence requirements (_Modern Slavery Act,_ _German Supply Chain Act, etc)_
- Enhance understanding and awareness within the Global Ethics & Compliance function of human rights and human rights due diligence
- Collaborate with Global Ethics & Compliance, Global Corporate Affairs and other relevant partners to ensure internal and external disclosure of Takeda's approach to human rights
**Third Party Risk Management**:
- Collaborate with Global Procurement, Takeda Business Services and functional partners and provide advisory support to GMSGQ stakeholders related to Third-party Risk Management requirements
- An active member of the TPRM council and provide human rights SME input
- Educate and support the GMSGQ E&C advisory network and functional stakeholders to ensure the TPRM process and requirements are understood
- Support the GMSGQ E&C advisory network to address thrd party ethics and compliance risks.
- Shape a program to monitor the TPRM policy within GMSGQ and collaborating with functional stakeholders to strengthen adherence to the policy
**_ CAPABILITIES_**

- Understanding of potential human rights issues faced by a complex manufacturing and supply organization operating globally, including technical aspects of labor rights.
**_ EXPERIENCE_**
- 5+ years third party risk and human rights related experience involving building human rights due diligence programs with experience within a manufacturing organization with globalized supply chains.
- Experience working with NGOs and multilateral agencies specifically concerning human rights.
- Experience with human rights reporting requirements and ESG disclosure.
- Ideally healthcare, pharmaceutical industry, FMCG experience and experience and / or an understanding manufacturing (or key supporting functions like supply chain / procurement and quality) and awareness of the associated third-party risks.
- Preferable experience of embedding human rights programs into an existing Ethics & Compliance program.
- First-hand experience of mitigating human rights challenges within a globalized manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, with the ability to derive insights from data and demystify human rights challenges for stakeholders.
- Proficient in creating meaningful presentations and other internal portals/platforms, design dashboards and reports.
- Ability to work and engage across regions, time zones and virtual environments.
**_ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION_**_ _
- Education - Advanced degree in either Business Sustainability, Political Science, International Affairs or Law.
- Languages: Fluent English, additional languages would be advantageous
