For our Basel team we are looking for an IT infrastructure specialist who will play an essential role in the daily operations to ensure the stability of the essential building management tool
- New user onboarding and training to end users
- Act as point of contact for building automation and process automation
- Responsible for the first level support to end users and Operations teams to provide
maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of IT components and infrastructure - Diagnose IT issues and connect with appropriate teams for resolution. Route Incidents/Requests to Informatics or specific vendors where appropriate
- Manage vendor engagements
- Record incidents and requests in RoSe/SNow (ITSM Tool). Prioritize and ensure the resolution of incidents and requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operation
- Evaluate and test new technologies (hardware and software) when needed
- Ensure changes to IT systems are implemented smoothly and with minimal disruption
- Minimum education level is a bachelor's degree, preferably in a science or technology discipline
- Minimum 3+ years technical IT experience (IT Engineering Client / Server)
- A focus on solution delivery, with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with your team, technical IT partners, and customers
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to non-technical audiences
- A collaborative and growth mindset
- Knowledge of animal facility operations and experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Fluent communication skills in English (German would be an asset)
