The candidate will be expected to participate in and lead research projects as a study director, including surgery and the development of animal models appropriate to the original research question. The candidate shall participate in different teaching activities, including mentoring and supervising doctoral candidates, and support the organization of seminars and symposia. She/he will also be expected to prepare, deliver, and assist in the submission of project proposals, grant proposals, (GLP-)reports, and publications and represent the unit at external conferences and meetings as appropriate.
Your profile
We expect the candidate to have completed your training as a veterinary surgeon (e.g. ECVS/ACVS accredited or equivalent) and, preferably, also a PhD showing your experience in research. However, candidates should be willing to learn German within a reasonable time in order to communicate with our non-academic personnel. The candidate should be motivated, innovative, and interested in developing your own research area within the scope of the MSRU. The candidate should be a team player, flexible, and curious to promote and supervise young doctorate and PhD students.
