This position is based at our office in Zurich, Switzerland.The PositionAs Global Medical Affairs Director, you will be a key member of the rare disease medical affairs team responsible for scientific and educational activities supporting rare haematological & rare-renal disorders with an immunological component.Your key responsibilities will include:Develop and/or provide input to the global medical affairs strategy for pipeline assets for rare haematological and/or rare renal disorders impacted by the complement system, and implementation of defined tactical projectsAct as a strategic partner, providing expert medical leadership to guide development, submission, and launch planning for the asset. Provide medical input across product development, regulatory, pharmacoeconomic, marketing, and safetyLead development of the Integrated Evidence Planning (IEP) and execute relevant projects within evidence generationDevelop educational materials, provide guidance and support to key affiliates in conjunction with the medical excellence team in the scientific dialogue and launch preparation activities for the assetBringing the outside perspective, especially the patient and HCP (Health Care Professional) voice and network, to our organisationAs a medical affairs specialist, you will play an important role in representing the Company interacting with external scientific leaders, study centres, patient advocacy groups and health authorities as neededThis is an office-based position. International travel of approximately 10% per year can be expected.QualificationsYou are motivated to improve the lives of patients, and you are Medical Doctor/PhD/PharmD with experience in immunology, rare bleeding or rare renal disorders. In addition:You bring more than 5 years of related work experience in the clinical/pharmaceutical industry, including experience in global or regional medical affairsYou have an established active network within the complement disorders fieldYou have the ability to bring scientific and medical leadership in the communication with external KOLs and societies with credibilityYou have strong communications skills and experience working in cross-functional, international teams in a matrix organisationYou can think strategically and tactically regarding how innovation can support patient diagnosis and managementYou have strong project management skills that enable you to push projects independently to completion within allocated budget and designated timelinesYou have a proactive nature that allows for the anticipation of both opportunities and challenges, coupled with the initiative to effectively address themLaunch experience, commercial and business understanding is an advantageAbout the DepartmentRare Disease, based in Zurich, Switzerland, is the global head office of the rare disease arm of Novo Nordisk.
