LIGENTEC is a fast-growing European company with headquarter in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since 2021 we expanded our manufacturing capabilities by creating LIGENTEC France, in the South of Paris. We specialize in the design & manufacturing of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for customers in high-tech areas such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies, and Biosensors.
LIGENTEC All-Nitride (AN) technology enables our customers to develop their products in the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a:
Application Sales Engineer
The purpose of this position is to provide an excellent customer experience by offering pre- and post-sales technical support, strengthen the sales team, technical marketing and business development.
Tasks- Cultivating positive customer relationships and being the customer interface
- Translate customer needs into workable solutions.
- Discuss and define SoW with customers, prospects and project partners
- Provide technical customer support during the whole sales cycle from pre-sales to after-sales.
- Manage the sales pipeline in CRM, and achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and R&D, to develop tailored solutions for clients.
- Contribute to the marketing strategy with content and activities (talks, application notes, press releases, webinars, etc.)
- Understand and analyse market trends and requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and project partners
- Highly customer and solution-oriented mindset.
- 3+ years experience in integrated optics or PhD in integrated optics
- Industry experience of 3+ years in technical sales, application engineering or similar role preferred
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets in technical environment
- Previous customer interaction
- Ability to translate customer wishes to clear specifications
- Hands-on experience with integrated photonics software tools is a plus
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills
- Open minded, communicative, critical, and innovative
- Flexible in working on different tasks and with different teams
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Working proficiency in English.
