Our Opening and Your Responsibilities Our thermal analysis systems are of the highest quality and performance. They are designed to determine a wide range of thermal and mechanical properties. Our customers use them for the research, development, and quality assurance of substances and materials of all kinds. To strengthen our team at our global operational headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee, we are looking for an Application Specialist in Thermal Analysis – 100% This varied role offers a unique blend of hands-on lab work and diverse responsibilities such as delivering international customer trainings, and supporting the sales team, with approximately 15% worldwide travel included.In this role, your responsibilities would include:Measuring customer samples using thermal analysis products such as Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA), and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA), and creating detailed application reportsProviding worldwide hotline support and testing prototype devicesWriting publications and developing engaging marketing materials, including handbooks, webinars, and other collateral to support product promotion and educationTraining sales staff and customers both remotely and on-siteProviding global online expert support in special sales casesTravelling to support local sales teams on-site (about 15% worldwide travel) What You Need to Succeed Following requirements are necessary for this role: Master's degree, or preferably a Ph.D., in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials ScienceStrong knowledge of and experience with thermal analysis techniques (DSC, TGA, TMA, and/or DMA) and their applicationsSeveral years of experience in an industrial or research environmentEnjoying giving public presentations and conveying complex informationIndependent mindset and solution-oriented working and thinking styleStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented approachWillingness to travel globally about 15%German language skills are beneficialStrong communication and presentation skills in English (spoken and written) Our Offer to You We offer:Flexible working hours (depending on the role), a hybrid work model, and a wide portfolio of training opportunitiesA 40-hour work week with at least 25 vacation days per year, plus 4 to 7 additional days off between bank holidaysFree parking and direct access to public transportHealthy lunches cooked onsite at our own METTLER TOLEDO restaurant, with special prices for employees A range of additional attractive benefits, including employee discounts at select area businessesYou can expect challenging, interesting, and varied tasks in an innovative and international environment, with the opportunity to network globally and achieve your career goals.Have we raised your interest?
