Job DescriptionYour Mission 💡As a Backend Java Engineer for our automotive brands AutoScout24 and MotoScout24, you will play a key role in building and evolving our automotive marketplace. Our team spans three countries: Switzerland, Serbia, and Vietnam, bringing diverse perspectives to every challenge and success.Specifically, you will:Collaborate in a cross-functional team to deliver valuable product incrementsWrite clean, tested, and maintainable code using industry best practicesContribute to technical discussions and design decisionsTake ownership of system operations, monitoring, and performance in productionContinuously improve the platform for long-term stability and scalabilityMentor and support colleagues to help them grow in their careersYour responsibilities will evolve as we grow.QualificationsWhat will you bring to the ride? 🚀Fluency in English (spoken and written)4+ years of experience building backend systems in Java2+ years of experience with Spring BootStrong foundations in computer science (data structures, algorithms, mathematics)Hands-on experience with distributed systems and messaging solutionsPractical knowledge of cloud services (ideally AWS)Familiarity with automated testing (unit, integration) and CI/CD pipelinesCuriosity to learn and align with our business vision and prioritiesNice to have:Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)Familiarity with Kubernetes and containersKnowledge of Kafka and ElasticsearchWe value the skills you bring and your ability to learn quickly, so don’t worry if your career path has been unique.
