Ringier Medien Schweiz Contracted hours 80-100% Place of work Zürich or Berlin Type of contract Permanent position We are looking for a Senior / Lead Application Developer to strengthen our central technology unit and shape the next generation of data- and AI-powered products across our media brands.You will design and implement applications on Palantir Foundry, working across our Ontology, Workshop, and application layer. You will be hands-on while also driving the internal frameworks, standards, and best practices that guide how applications are built across the company.This role sits at the intersection of engineering, data, and product, and will collaborate closely with our data engineers, data scientists, local market teams, and product owners. Your tasks Lead application development on Palantir FoundryDesign and build applications using Workshop, Ontology, Functions, Automate, and React AppsTranslate business requirements into robust, scalable real-time logicWork across the entire application layer: frontends, APIs, backend componentsDrive solution designArchitect end-to-end solutions using Foundry-native patterns and toolsCollaborate with big data pipeline teams to ensure clean data contracts, stable Ontology objects, and performant interfacesInfluence cross-team standards on naming, versioning, real-time logic patterns, and application modularityDevelop internal frameworks and best practicesDefine and evolve our approach to the Foundry application layerIntroduce patterns for maintainability, performance, testing, and observabilityMentor engineers and review code / logic to raise the bar across all marketsBuild AI-enabled applicationsWork closely with data scientists to integrate AIP Logic, LLM workflows, RAG components, and evalsImplement safe and reliable LLM patterns in production systemsHelp shape our Foundry-based AI application architecture Your profile Core SkillsStrong hands-on experience in TypeScript/Node.js + ReactSolid backend engineering skills (API design, API gateways, service orchestration)Experience with distributed systems or real-time application logicAbility to lead implementation end-to-end: from design → coding → deploymentUnderstanding of CI/CD, testing strategies, and component modularityFoundry / Data Platform SkillsYou have experience with Palantir Foundry or a strong willingness to learn it quickly, including:Ontology modeling and application layer designWorkshop applicationsFunctions, Automate, and real-time logic patternsCollaboration with big-data pipeline teams (Python, Spark)AI / LLM Skills (Strong Plus)Familiarity with LLM application patternsComfortable working with data scientists, prompt engineers, and eval frameworksExperience building AI-enabled workflows or user-facing AI featuresSoft SkillsExcellent communication and cross-team collaborationStrong ownership mindset and ability to drive standards across teamsComfortable in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environmentHands-on, pragmatic, and solution-orientedWould you like to work in this diverse environment and join our fantastic team either in Zurich or in Berlin?
