Paediatrician

Responsibilities:Provide outpatient and/or inpatient paediatric care according to MSF protocols and hygiene standards.Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure integrated care and infection control.Propose and implement paediatric care strategy modifications.Conduct ongoing paediatric training for multidisciplinary team members.Inform patients and families about illness and treatment, ensuring understanding.Monitor patient evolution, prescribe treatment, and manage discharge or transfer.Ensure department functionality, equipment maintenance, and material supply.Collect and analyse epidemiological data, reporting any complications or errors.Manage team under direct responsibility, including performance supervision and scheduling.Design and provide staff training as required.Debrief with coordination and provide written reports on activities and recommendations.Depending on our activities and needs, your responsibilities may be adapted and evolve according to specific projects.You will not be facing these challenges alone—other MSF team members, both international and locally hired staff, will provide technical support, including extensive guidelines and protocols. Video Dr Maira Lucas, A paediatrician putting humanity first Tadeu Andre/MSF Share X Requirements:Medical Doctor diploma from a recognised university.Minimum three years’ experience as a Medical Doctor in a paediatric hospital.Proficiency in programme language is essential.Computer literacy, including word, excel, and internet usage.Updated knowledge of MSF paediatric protocols before each assignment.Assets:Paediatrics qualification.Proficiency in local language.Experience in paediatric hospital management.Experience with MSF or similar humanitarian organisations.Advanced proficiency in computer literacy.
