Shape the future of product compliance at Johnson ControlsWe are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead global regulatory compliance and certification strategies for our Global Products and Solutions portfolio. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the VP of Engineering Excellence, with a mission to ensure our products meet the highest safety and regulatory standards worldwide.What You Will DoInstall a best-in-class product compliance program across the JCI Global Products engineering landscape.This includes establishing best practices in regulations monitoring, triage and impact analysis, and compliance execution, including tool selectionWork with PBU Engineering Teams to drive global compliance and certification programs across multiple product lines.Monitor and interpret new regulations, ensuring timely communication and integration.Collaborate with Government Relations, Legal, Procurement, and Product Business Units.Assure engineering compliance throughout the entire product lifecycle—from concept to post-launchAct as the subject matter expert for UL, IEC/EN EMC standards, and international certifications.What We Are Looking ForBachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.10+ years of experience in regulatory/compliance engineering, ideally with electronic controls.Deep knowledge of UL certification processes and IEC/EN EMC standards.Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Ability to manage end-to-end compliance activities independently.Preferred:Professional certifications in product safety or compliance.Experience with building automation or HVAC control systems.Familiarity with CE, UKCA, and global certification schemes.Why Join Us?At Johnson Controls, we create safe, sustainable, and innovative environments.
