The Compliance Operations department is responsible for the data and process baseline along the entire chemical-legally compliant and sustainable product lifecycle development, transport/handling, marketing and disposal) of all Roche Diagnostics products. This means that we are not only irreplaceable in ensuring compliance for the benefit of our patients, but also pursue the goal of significantly and sustainably reducing the environmental impact of all our products and services. In order to be able to continue to do this successfully, we are looking for YOU with immediate effect.
As an intern, you are a valuable member of the team and you are encouraged to add a great contribution. Your tasks will be related to Supplier Management for EH&S Data, EH&S Master Data Management, and/or supporting projects managed by our Team.
Your activities will be:
Be a member of a global team responsible for managing data and processes along the entire chemical-legally compliant and sustainable product lifecycle. Support and get assignments for internal and global tasks such as:
Providing Quality oversight for Roche Diagnostics Direct Material Suppliers for the Roche Instruments (existing and in Development). Responsibility includes managing Supplier EH&S Data Questionnaires for Chemical Legislations such as REACH, RoHS, POP, California Proposition 65, EPR (Extended User Responsibility), Packaging Waste and upcoming regulations for PFAS.
Interacting directly with suppliers, internal customers, and subject matter experts to ensure thorough evaluation and accuracy of EH&S Data following company standard using appropriate IT tools SAP Production Systems, EH&S(M))
Ensuring data governance, quality and integrity (according to the data strategy); as well as performing plausibility checks against relevant chemical regulatory legislation)
Support the Compliance Operations Team in continuous improvement projects, such as continuous development and automation of the EHS data management for articles or substances/mixtures, IT system architecture and supplier management processes

Who you are
You are an enrolled Master student with focus on Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Science or in a comparable field or completed your studies within the past 12 months. You are looking for an interesting and versatile internship in the Medtech/ Diagnostics industry and you are interested to experience a modern working environment.
You will bring along the following profile for this internship:
Interest in chemical regulatory compliance and sustainability, master data governance, supplier oversight and stakeholder management
Excellent organizational skills and a flexible approach to coordinate demanding workloads as well as the ability to adapt to changes
Ability to work effectively and independently within a diverse group of people
Very good Microsoft Office and Google skills
Very good English skills required. Good German skills is a plus.
The internship is not suitable for writing a Bachelor’s/ Master’s Thesis.
