As demand for inter-agency digital solutions grows, UNICC is increasingly called upon to play a dual role: a) Technology delivery partner providing secure and scalable services; and b) Host supporting governance, accountability, and coordination for inter-agency digital programmes. The UN Digital ID Programme is one of UNICC’s flagship engagements, designed to provide a secure, portable digital identity for UN personnel. It represents a shift from short-term project delivery towards sustainable, system-wide digital infrastructure. Moving into a stable product phase with new clients and use cases, the programme requires strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and transparent management of inter-agency partnerships. This role will strengthen UNICC’s capacity to support governance frameworks, manage inter-agency relationships, and anchor the programme’s transition into a sustainable product. This role reports to the Programme Director of the UN Digital ID at UNICC. Objectives of the Programme: UNICC provides the digital foundations that support the digital transformation and future of the UN system and other international organizations. Main duties and responsibilities: The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Programme Director, UN Digital ID (DOP) within the Directorate (DO). The incumbent could be requested to do any other tasks of similar level in related fields. Governance and Programme Management Support the functioning of the Programme Board and related governance bodies (e.g. Executive Steering Committee, Joint Working Group, Advisory Groups) with secretariat functions, documentation, and reporting Ensure smooth alignment between programme-level governance (multi-agency strategic direction) and product governance (day-to-day management of Digital ID), in line with best practices for inter-agency programmes Coordinate the production of roadmap proposals, quarterly progress dashboards, financial reports, and impact updates for participating organizations, escalating to the Programme board as required Lead on the knowledge management of the UN Digital ID programme. Conduct workshops, seminars, etc.; make presentations on assigned topics/activities Support the design and implementation of governance frameworks for other inter-agency programmes or shared services UNICC may host Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement Identify and further opportunities for the roll-out of the UN Digital ID programme to new use cases and new organizations Identify key initiatives and opportunities to augment the UN Digital ID’s visibility, including impactful communications and advocacy opportunities to outline the benefits of the programme Maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, legal, and staff representatives across client organizations Act as the focal point for the business relationship between UNICC and assigned existing/new client organizations Serve as liaison/focal point with UN-wide and multilateral digital coordination initiatives (e.g., HLCM, UNSDG Business Innovation Group, UN 2.0 transformation agenda, Global Digital Compact, and other inter-agency/multilateral fora), ensuring alignment and visibility of UNICC’s contributions Other: Provide other ad hoc support either within the team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full time basis upon request from the senior management
