To accelerate our next growth phase, we're looking for a hands-on data expert who can design and implement our unified data warehouse layer from scratch. This role combines the strategic thinking of a Data Architect with the practical skills of a Data Engineer. Ideal for someone who wants to own a greenfield data project and build something meaningful in the fintech space.

Tasks
  • Assess existing data sources, analytics tools, and business needs
  • Design a concept for a scalable, centralized data warehouse architecture in Microsoft Azure
  • Implement the data warehouse, including data ingestion pipelines, storage structure, and access layers
  • Integrate existing analytics tools and BI solutions (Power BI, etc.)
  • Ensure proper documentation, governance, and security practices are in place
  • Work closely with product, finance, and operations teams to align the data model with real-world needs
Requirements

Proven experience designing and implementing data warehouses

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, ideally including Azure MySQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or similar

Language Proficiency: English (B2 level or higher); German is a plus

Familiarity with various database types (relational, NoSQL, etc.) and integration best practices

Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)

Able to balance pragmatic project delivery with long-term architectural vision

A proactive communicator who can translate technical concepts into business terms

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security in financial environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices or infrastructure-as-code
