For Biologics R&D, the Bioinformatics team in Basel is offering an exciting internship in exploring Machine Learning models in a cloud environment. The role involves hands-on work at the intersection of bioinformatics, machine learning, and cloud computing, providing valuable experience in applying advanced technologies to biological data analysis.
Duration: 6-12 months
Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with Bioinformatics team to define requirements and challenges of deploying ML models in a cloud environment Assist in designing, implementing and optimizing MLOps workflows Help automate model training, testing, deployment and monitoring processes to enhance efficiency and reliability Learn and share on the latest MLOps practices, tools and technologies in the cloud Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to model deployment and operationalizationKey requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related field Solid understanding of machine learning Programming skills in common data analysis programming language (R, Python, …) Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure and experience with deploying models on the cloud Knowledge of software development principles: DevOps, CI/CD Fluent in English.
