Engagement Lead, Advisory, Office of the Inspector General - GL D - Defined Duration until December 2028The advisory practice of the OIG supports the Global Fund’s mission of ending AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics by generating ‘insight for impact’. The team helps the Global Fund address tough issues and new challenges, improve its ways of working to operate more efficiently, and seize opportunities to enhance its impact in fighting pandemics and building a healthier, more equitable world.The Engagement Lead, Advisory, will work under the leadership of the Advisory Manager, primarily leading advisory projects end-to-end, from the diagnostic assessment to the definition of improvement opportunities and change initiatives, and drafting of options and recommendations for senior management’s consideration. The Lead will implement best practice project and change management to support and drive effective decision making. They will facilitate the input and buy-in of key stakeholders across different levels and across functions of the Global Fund. They will lead most advisory engagements with support from 1 or more Advisory Associates and other resources under their supervision for the duration of the project. Over the course of one year, the Lead can expect to work on 2-4 projects on different topics, supporting several Global Fund leaders and functions. The Lead is expected to be impact-oriented, solution-driven and able to work with multi-disciplinary teams in a diverse environment. They are expected to have a very collaborative attitude and strong client orientation, as well as people management skills.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the Advisory Manager to successfully define, structure and implement strategic projects (e.g., operating model reviews, business improvement and transformation initiatives)Oversee assigned projects and handle major issues and hurdles, managing the entire project management lifecycleGuide the team in developing and refining options for decision making, recommendations and implementable action plans, with key owners/clientsPerform assessments and analyses of various kind; communicate them in an effective manner to clients and other stakeholdersPresent analyses and insights to clients through oral briefings and written reportsBring relevant expertise and best practice approaches to problem-solvingApply best practice project management principles and facilitate change management among different stakeholder groupsIn conjunction with the Advisory Manager, develop a methodology, tools and training plans for the advisory practiceHelp the Advisory Manager identify potential targets for value-add advisory reviews focused on improving effectiveness, efficiency, and economyPerform other duties as required, to enable the advisory team to deliver successful advisories.Special travel requirements: The position may require travel during advisory assignments covering program and project sites in developing countries. Depending on specific assignments and time of the year, travel may be up to 20-40% of the timeSubject to change by the Inspector General at any time at their sole discretion.QualificationsEssential:University degree within the area of Business Administration, Economics, Global Health, or any other relevant field.Desirable:PRINCE 2 Foundation, Practitioner or Agile certification (or equivalent certification).ExperienceEssential:Extensive experience in a management consulting firm and/or in a management consulting/strategy team within an international organizationProject management and change management expertise with the ability to deliver impactful changesExperience leading multi-disciplinary teams of experienced professionals in a multi-cultural settingDemonstrated experience managing and delivering on timelines with tight deadlines and across disciplinesEvidence of effective and successful stakeholder management at operational and management levels within an organizationSignificant experience preparing high-quality, professional documents for senior audiencesProven success in collaboration, teamwork and knowledge sharing.Desirable:At least seven years’ top tier Strategy Consulting experience and/or experience in a management consulting/strategy team within an international organization - including experience in transformations, organizational effectiveness, operating model reviews and/or strategy projectsExperience in international developmentExperience and knowledge related to public health, HIV/AIDS, TB and malariaExperience living and/or working in a country supported by the Global FundCompetenciesLanguages:An excellent knowledge of English and preferably a good working knowledge of French.
