Torréfacteur / Roaster

We are on the lookout for a talented and passionate human to join our growing roasting team in Carouge on the journey to democratize specialty coffee.

The Skills we are looking for:

Roasting Experience: Several years of experience working as a coffee roaster; and being familiar with all operational aspects of a roasting

Education / Training: Successful completion of SCA or similar roasting courses

Technical proficiency: Ability to effectively use and adjust roasting equipment. Creating coffee recipes with notable aromatic identities

Coffee knowledge: In-depth understanding of coffee varieties, flavor profiles, and roasting methods and knowledge of the Swiss coffee market

Sensory skills: Ability to sensorially evaluate roasted coffee to detect flavor, aroma, and texture nuances. Identifying improvements to be made to the product

Flexibility: Ability to adapt to variable working hours and job task requirements based on business needs

Team player and customer-centric mind set: Ability to work efficiently within a team and communicate collaboratively with team members, and focus on customer needs and satisfaction
