Our client, a rapidly growing company in Oil & Gas, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Billing Analyst to join their finance team in Geneva.


This permanent role offers the opportunity to be part of a new finance team within a dynamic environment, managing critical energy infrastructures and sustainable energy products.


The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing invoices, ensuring the accuracy of billing transactions, and supporting financial operations. This role requires close collaboration with internal departments such as operations, marketing, other accounting functions and external partners.

Billing Analyst (h/f)

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices for refinery products and services, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, pricing structures, and terms.
  • Input billing data into financial systems and ensure consistency with operational data, inventory, and contractual terms.
  • Monitor and track the status of outstanding invoices, working with customers to resolve discrepancies or payment delays.
  • Investigate and resolve billing issues, working closely with customers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure accurate billing and timely resolution of disputes.
  • Generate and maintain regular billing reports, including detailed summaries of invoice status, aging reports, and financial metrics related to billing activity.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate billing records and documentation as requested.
  • Continuously evaluate billing processes for efficiency and accuracy, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
  • Liaise with the refinery's operations, marketing, logistics, procurement, and finance teams to gather necessary information for accurate billing.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to billing practices, taxes, and reporting.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years experience of billing, accounts receivable or accounting experience ideally in the energy manufacturing or refinery industry.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles invoicing and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of billing systems and SAP.
  • Bilingual French & English.
