Senior RF Electronics Engineer

As a Senior Electronics RF Engineer, you will play a key role in our hardware engineering core  team, designing and delivering state-of-the-art electronics that power our next-generation drone platforms. In this position, you will take full ownership of our radio transceiver systems, developing the PCBs and antenna solutions that enable robust, long-range communication and video links to our drones. Working closely with our radio firmware team, you'll bring cutting-edge transceivers and SDR technologies to life, optimizing signal-to-noise ratio, boosting output power, and troubleshooting and improving existing solutions. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, agile environment, offering the opportunity to design creative solutions for radio transceivers from concept to mass production.Beyond RF, you'll contribute your expertise to the broader hardware team, supporting the development of drone-specific PCBs and enhancing the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of our designs. Your experience in EMC and RF will be a valuable asset in guiding the team toward more robust and compliant hardware solutions. Responsibilities and Duties Design powerful long-range radio transceivers, spanning from Sub-GHz to 5.8GHz, providing reliable communication and wideband video links for drone operation Implement next-generation SDR into our products, including architecture definition, design implementation, verification and validation in the field Provide technical direction for RF design decisions, ensuring systems meet stringent requirements for high-throughput, ultra-low latency, and exceptional immunity against environmental interference  Define and execute the verification and validation of our transceivers, including EMC, thermal optimization and certification (e.g., FCC, RED). Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to the broader engineering team for the design, prototyping, and testing of state-of-the-art avionics PCBs and modular systems Create supporting documents (concepts, CAD drawings, BOM, assembly instructions etc.) Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing advanced radio and antenna integration expertise to support our customer integration teams and resolve complex field issues. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field 5+ years in RF system design and/or SDR development, including practical experience with antenna integration, verification and validation Skilled in using RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers) and interpreting results.
