Dufour Aerospace develops efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft based on the tilt-wing principle. They take off and land vertically like a helicopter but fly as quickly and economically as an aeroplane. While the propellers are electrically powered, hybrid elements ensure a sufficiently long range. The first product that Dufour Aerospace will launch on the market is the Aero2, an unmanned aerial vehicle that has been specially developed for transporting critical goods such as medical material weighing up to 40 kilograms over medium to long distances. As part of a young, motivated start-up team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and launch of our Aero2 tilt-wing drone. In your role, you will assemble the aircraft according to the specifications of our design team and hand over the prototypes to flight testing. Responsibilities: Manufacture, install, and test electrical wiring harnesses for UAVs and aircraft. Perform mechanical assembly and integration of structural components. Work with composite materials to fabricate and repair airframes and components. Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance on UAV systems. Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and technical manuals. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve manufacturing processes and aircraft performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Document the work carried out carefully. Qualifications: Completed training as an electronics technician, mechanical technician, or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and results orientation. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to compliance with safety guidelines and industry standards. Good language skills in English. Experience in electrical harness fabrication – including crimping, soldering, and connector installation. Proficiency with composite materials – layup, repair, and finishing techniques is highly desirable. Experience working in an aerospace or UAV environment is a plus. We offer flexible working hours and provide our employees with tea, coffee, and snacks. From time to time, we organize free community lunches. Additional Information: The workplace is located at Dübendorf Airport. Willingness to receive part of the salary in share options. Starting date: 1st of May 2025.
