Description

We are pleased to offer an exciting new position as LCA/ EPD Specialist in our Group Sustainability Department. The position is located at the Belimo Headquarter in Hinwil, Switzerland.
In this position you will lead Belimo's internal LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) capability and be responsible for scaling lifecycle assessments across our product portfolio, as well as the development and implementation of our EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) program.

What You'll Do

  • You will define and implement Belimo's EPD program, including the initial setup of processes, templates, and state-of-the-art LCA software, while building internal knowledge and competence in developing LCAs/EPDs.

  • Furthermore, you will perform LCAs and develop EPDs according to established ISO and EN standards, focusing on the EMEA region and other Group Divisions.

  • Additionally, you will act as the interface for internal LCA/EPD contributors and external EPD program operators, ensuring smooth collaboration.

  • Moreover, you will support the EMEA marketing department by communicating our product's sustainability facts for both internal and external audiences.

  • Last but not least, you will leverage LCA results for Belimo's greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and sustainability reporting, including contributions to scope 3 emission calculations.

Who You Are

  • Degree in environmental or material sciences, engineering, sustainability, or a related field (BSc or MSc), with proven practical experience in LCA/EPD work in an international company.

  • You possess methodical and technical knowledge with 2-3 years of practical experience in performing LCA calculations and obtaining verified EPDs, along with familiarity with LCA databases, software, and standards (e.g., ecoinvent, ISO 14040/44, EN 15804).

  • You have a strong affinity with IT systems, including MS Office, SharePoint, LCA/EPD software, and data management tools.

  • Additionally, you have proven project leadership and experience working in interdisciplinary, project-oriented cross-functional teams, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • And also important, you are highly self-motivated, independent, and reliable in your working style, with advanced English skills both spoken and written.
