The Global Product Specialist (GPS) will work directly with the Global Product Manager (GPM) for Industrial & Specialty (I&S) Transformers and collaborate with our worldwide network of R&D centers, Hubs and local business teams to capture and translate customer requirements into improvements of existing solutions and set the directions for new product developments. It is an opportunity for transformer engineering and R&D experts to apply their knowledge to help customers with demanding applications and be part of joint development of new solutions for the changing electrical grid. Additionally, the work will require participation in technical meetings, international standards development, and contributing and developing the industry knowledge on power transformer technology. How you´ll make an impact Analyze market situation by following and understanding international standards, market & customer requirements, and their impact on the portfolio. Conduct competitor analyses including identification of technical product gaps and with a high focus on competitiveness opportunities while evaluating the portfolio position. Manage the technical specifications of Industrial and Specialty Power Transformers and support Global Product Manager in developing business cases for product development,
