The Division's core function involves building and maintaining relationships with donors, mobilizing funds, diversifying IOM's resource base, and enhancing IOM's collective resource mobilization efforts.  Given IOM's decentralized structure, donor engagement and resource mobilization functions are shared by different organizational and geographic units.  As such, the Division plays a pivotal role in streamlining and enhancing these functions. The Division adds strategic value by not only coordinating these efforts but also by offering essential guidance, developing and disseminating knowledge, and reinforcing organizational capacity to raise funds. As such, the Division serves as a central hub to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to donor engagement and resource mobilization within IOM's decentralized structure.  The Resource Mobilization Support Unit (RMSU) supports the resource mobilization efforts of all IOM offices and staff by responding to resource mobilization queries, engaging with donor counterparts, and negotiating and concluding funding agreements. The Unit delivers capacity-building initiatives in multiple formats to enhance fundraising skills and strategic donor engagement across IOM. It also facilitates the development and dissemination of tools, templates, and guidance, helping colleagues navigate donor priorities and requirements. As RMD is the business process owner of IOM's CRM system, RMSU works on its continued improvement and roll-out to foster a more coordinated, informed, and strategic approach to resource mobilization across the organization.  Under the the overall supervision of the Director, Resource Mobilization Division (RMD) and direct supervision of the Resource Mobilization Support Unit Lead, the Resource Mobilization Officer (Resource Mobilization Support Unit) will be responsible and accountable for supporting resource mobilization by IOM Offices and Headquarters (HQ) by contributing to strengthening IOM's ability to mobilize resources in a strategic and efficient way.
