About This Role: As the Associate Director, Field Medical Content Creator - SMA, you'll be a pivotal member of the Medical team within the International Center of Excellence (I-CoE), based in Baar, Switzerland. This role is integral to supporting the regional execution of field medical content initiatives across Europe and BIR regions. You will lead the development and implementation of scientific content that aligns with our Therapeutic Area (TA) vision, ensuring a cohesive medical voice. Collaborating with SMA ICOE Medical Leads and cross-functional partners, you will optimize content strategies to meet the critical priorities of key markets, enhancing the delivery of medical insights. Your efforts will directly impact Biogen's ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance, contributing to the overall business goals by supporting field medical teams in their healthcare professional interactions. What You'll Do: Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of scientific and medical content, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards. Assess the impact of content, identifying opportunities for improvement based on feedback from field teams. Stay current with scientific advancements, translating complex data into engaging content for field medical teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content strategy with regional Medical Affairs goals. Ensure compliance with Biogen procedures and budget alignment. Provide project oversight and manage medical communications vendors as needed. Support Affiliates in co-creating content aligned with market priorities. Collaborate with cross-functional I-CoE partners, ensuring consistent scientific narrative application. Analyze and integrate clinical data into the TA scientific narrative. Execute agreed field medical content plans for Region Europe and BIR. Translate scientific narratives into field medical slide modules across multiple channels. Resolve conflicts between external material review vendors and Biogen material owners. Who You Are: You are a self-motivated professional with an advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. Your strong communication and presentation skills enable you to translate complex scientific data into impactful content. You thrive in collaborative environments, bringing a cross-functional mindset to your work. With exceptional project management skills, you balance multiple priorities effectively, demonstrating cultural awareness and interpersonal sensitivity. Your commitment to ethical conduct and compliance is unwavering, ensuring that you lead by example. Required Skills: MD, PhD, PharmD or comparable advanced degree. Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in Medical Affairs or Medical Communication. Experience in developing medical field materials. Strong communication and presentation skills. Collaborative and cross-functional mindset. Strong project management skills and attention to detail. Cultural awareness and interpersonal sensitivity. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to allocate resources effectively in a dynamic environment. Models compliant and ethical behaviors. Preferred Skills: Experience with content management systems and digital content strategies. Familiarity with regional regulatory environments and compliance standards.
