We continue to explore further external growth opportunities to strengthen our business and late-stage pipeline, so that we can continue giving more people living with rare diseases access to innovative treatments.Sobi is currently recruiting for aDirector, Epidemiology and Biostatistics,to join our growing Global Real-World Evidence (GRWE) team within RDMA.Job DescriptionIn this strategic and scientific leadership role, the Director, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, will:Provide epidemiology and statistical analytical support for RWE studiesContribute to the development of evidence generation plans and design of RWE studies for scientific and regulatory purposesAdvise study teams on research methodologies and statistical analysis approaches/techniquesCreate and execute (or oversee the execution of) analytic plans for RWE studiesContributeto the development of evidence generation plans and design of RWE studies (e.g., systematic literature reviews, database studies, and observational studies/disease registries)Ensureepidemiology perspective is adequately and appropriately reflected in study documents e.g., study protocols, case report forms (CRFs), and regulatory documentsPrepareand presents study results for inclusion in conference abstracts, presentations, and scientific publicationsParticipateactively on cross-functional teams and leads sub-team meetings as appropriateInteractwith authors, referees, and in-house reviewers on scientific manuscripts, clinical conference abstracts, presentations, and posters based on observational study data within the supported therapeutic areasRepresentthe GRWE team during interactions with key external stakeholders including Scientific Advisory Boards and regulatory authoritiesTravel may be required (5-10%)QualificationsPh D, DSc or Dr PH in Epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field with 7+ years professional experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, healthcare, academic or research settingMS or MPH with 10+ years professional experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, healthcare, academic or research settingthe 7+ years of experience will be in study design, research methodology, and statistical analysis and bringing a solid experience in conducting statistical analyses with SAS (Advanced programming skills) or similar statistical software packagesThe following skills will make you the ideal candidate:Evidence of productivity in epidemiology related/RWE studies as demonstrated by successful design, execution, and publication of epidemiology related/RWE studiesExcellent written and oral communication/presentation skills andattention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teamsSolid work ethic with demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skillsComfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in scope or direction of projectsThorough and up-to-date technical knowledge of epidemiology and relevant biostatistics methodsExperience using SAS or similar statistical software packagesAdditional InformationHow to apply?We have an ongoing selection process in this recruitment and ask you to send your application as soon as possible.
