Praktikant für die Studie zur Steuerungsanwendung für die Hochintensitäts-Protonenbeschleunigeranlage HIPA Low-Level-RF-System Über den Job Das Paul Scherrer Institut PSI ist das größte Forschungsinstitut für Natur- und Ingenieurwissenschaften in der Schweiz. Für das PSI Center for Accelerator Science and Engineering suchen wir eine/n Ihre Aufgaben Low-Level-RF (LLRF)-Systeme sind entscheidend für die Aufrechterhaltung eines stabilen elektromagnetischen Feldes zur Beschleunigung von Teilchenstrahlen. Ihr Zweck ist es, die Amplitude und Phase des RF-Feldes in den Beschleunigungsstrukturen mittels Rückkopplungsschleifen zu regeln und den Betrieb der RF-Station (Einrichtung, Kalibrierung, Optimierung, Diagnostik usw.) zu automatisieren. Die modernen digitalen LLRF-Systeme ermöglichen eine Reihe fortschrittlicher Funktionen, die typischerweise als Satz von Software-Tools, auch LLRF-Anwendungen genannt, implementiert sind. Typische Anwendungen umfassen: Festlegung des Betriebszustands des RF-Systems Identifikation von RF-Systemmodellen Optimierung von Rückkopplungsreglern Diagnose des Systemstatus und der Leistung Automatisierung von Betriebsabläufen Dieses Projekt ist in zwei Teile gegliedert: Kernaufgabe: Untersuchung von Algorithmen für LLRF-Anwendungen durch Simulation oder Tests mit Python/Matlab am LLRF-Prüfstand Erweiterte Aufgabe (für erfahrene Studierende): Implementierung der verfeinerten Anwendungen in ein Softwarepaket für den täglichen Betrieb des LLRF-Systems Ihr Profil Sie sind Student/in der Ingenieurwissenschaften oder Physik und befinden sich mindestens im letzten Jahr des Bachelorstudiums (mindestens 4 Semester) Multidisziplinäres Wissen in digitaler Signalverarbeitung, Regelungstechnik und Softwareentwicklung ist erforderlich Sie haben Ihre Masterarbeit noch nicht abgeschlossen Wir bieten Unsere Institution basiert auf einer interdisziplinären, innovativen und dynamischen Zusammenarbeit.
