Job Overview Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is looking for a Housekeeping Trainee to join our housekeeping team. The role supports the housekeeping department in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a memorable stay for guests. The trainee reports to the Executive Housekeeper. Responsibilities Independent organisation of the smooth running of your shift Control of cleaned rooms, public areas and back areas Comply with all hygiene and Mandarin Oriental quality standards Coordinate additional tasks on the floor Note guest preferences and handle guest requests and questions in the housekeeping area to create memorable guest experiences Handle guest complaints from receipt to resolution Take on projects and other administrative tasks Requirements Open-mindedness and delight in dealing with guests A strong sense of service and service-mindedness Warm, teamwork and guest-oriented personality Good communication skills - guests will approach you with complaints as well as positive feedback. Therefore, you are always open and approachable Excellent manners and a well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position includes weekend and holiday shifts Very good knowledge of German and English.
